About Builder Design Studio

Founded in 1991 to provide architectural design plans to building firms only, Builder Design Studio now brings competitive pricing and service to all clients.

Bill, an experienced builder, established BDS. He understood the visual importance of great architecture, curb appeal, and the livability afforded by comfortable floor plans. So, he created Builder Design Studio to provide these elements to his building firm, The Raffles Company. Other builders recognized the quality of his designs and requested designs from BDS as well.

Another element Bill wanted to add to his designs was three-dimensional renderings. In 1993 Bill purchased the computer-aided design and rendering software Chief Architect version 1.1, and he continues using this leading-edge design and rendering program now with version 25. Bill retired as a home builder in 2008 after a 30-year career building but continues designing.

Builders and individual clients need value-designed construction plans. BDS produces designs with premium architectural appeal without necessarily creating premium construction costs.

Our plans are highly detailed and annotated to give builders, trades, services, and suppliers the information they need to provide for an efficient and quality construction process. The plans include an exterior photographic quality 3D rendering of the home at no additional cost. Of course, we can do more extensive modeling to meet the client's needs.
